The Nordman Fir Christmas Tree

Nordman Fir Christmas Tree

Tree Information

The Nordman Fir is a fairly new type of Christmas tree in America but has been used for many years in Europe, and is one of the most common Christmas tree species in Germany and Norway. Nordman Fir is one of the most important Christmas trees species. It is favored for its attractive foliage, with unsharp needles that do not drop readily. It is also the least fragrant of our Christmas trees, which makes it the perfect tree for those with allergies who still want a freshly cut Christmas tree.

Nordman Fir trees have soft shiny needles with a rich deep green color laid out in even rows on the twig. They are a very durable tree so they last exceptionally well after cutting, usually keeping well into January. Because the branches are evenly spaced and very sturdy, they are perfect for showing off special large or heavy Christmas ornaments and heirlooms.
